How everything started.

Elpis was founded in 2023 with a simple idea.

  • The question of what is Elpis is also the question of how it all began and why?

  • Many may be familiar with it: A new flat - perhaps your first home - rented, of course, and you are full of ideas to make a home out of these four walls. Now the design freedom is limited, because the flat is cut as it is, the sockets are where they are - so you have to adapt your own vision to the circumstances in the best possible way.

  • As a result, the challenge is how to supply power to the interior you have now put together. The socket is in the corner but the TV should be in the middle, the mobile phone should be charged on the couch and where there is one power outlet, there would actually need to be three or even more outlet.

  • The solution

  • The solution that the DIY store gives us for this is called a multiple socket. It allows us to connect several devices and at the same time remove the distribution of power from the source using the appropriate cable length. But then it gets tricky! You now have an attractively furnished living room but very unattractive and merely functional multiple sockets, which disturb the eye, scattered around the room, where they disrupt the desired visual harmony.  As a result, everyone tries to hide them more or less - usually with only moderate success.
